How it works
One durable office setup. A fresh local connection for each operatory session.
Office enrollment and operatory connection are separate by design: enrollment registers the phone until it is revoked; Connect creates a short-lived local charting session.
Register each phone from the office portal.
The admin mints a one-use link, QR code, or alphanumeric XXX-XXX code. The phone redeems it once and remains a registered mobile device until the office revokes it.
Choose the remembered office computer and tap Connect.
The phone obtains a two-minute, one-use authorization for that registered computer, discovers it on the LAN, and establishes a pinned encrypted session. Scanning the computer’s local QR remains the fallback.
Open the patient’s chart in the PMS and record values on the phone.
The clinician remains in control of patient selection and the record. On Windows, each concrete chart entry is sent to the companion for entry into the open chart. Mac sessions provide pairing, preview, and dry-run only.
